WELCOME BACK
July 2024
Dear FBA Family,
Welcome to the 2024-2025 academic school year! I would like to personally thank you for choosing Kingdom Education for your child/children. I am very excited to see what the Lord has in store for FBA this year. As the world embraces chaos and continues to move away from the peace of God, it is important to keep our eyes fixed on the author and finisher of our faith. Peace has been on the forefront of my mind these past few months. There is a song entitled, “Peace Be Still” by Hope Darst. I would like to encourage you to listen to it, as it has brought peace back into the forefront:

From a personal perspective, there are times in my life where worry and anxiety will try to rob me of my peace. While many of the things I worry about never come to pass, the worry still happens. Whether it is worrying about my family, ministry or other things that keep me up at night, I know this is not what the Lord wants for me- I suspect the same is for you.
Today, we often see people seeking peace in a variety of different ways. Celebrities covet it, pop culture seeks it, while activists protest for it. Yet, peace sometimes seems out of reach. So, what if I told you that it is possible to obtain and enjoy peace! Imagine having a peace that passes all understanding or is unfathomable to comprehend. It is like possessing peace, even though it is difficult to understand it; my flesh is telling me I have every legitimate reason to be anxious, but I am able to overcome the anxiety. I am talking about living peacefully every single day. I am talking about turning worry into worship. When your heart is heavy, put your hands up and when you feel burdened, bow before the Lord.
Paul tells us in Philippians 4:6 to, “…not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God” (ESV). Therefore, my prayer for you and your family this school year is to seek the Lord through prayer, supplication and thanksgiving, and share your heart with God before worry overtakes you. His promise is that “the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:7, ESV). In summary, be anxious for nothing, prayerful in everything, and thankful for all things. I look forward to partnering with you in your child’s education not only for time, but for eternity as well. Together, let’s follow the lead of our Lord and Savior. As a reminder, please be sure to carefully read the summer letters which provides important dates, times and agendas that will ensure the academic school year is a success. The first day of school, FBA Night, will be on Monday, August 12th . Each student will receive a passport in their classroom to guide them through the stations they are to visit. On their last stop, they will submit their passport to the Parent Auxiliary Station, where they will be entered into a drawing for a chance to receive a $50.00 credit towards their account.
Just a few other reminders:
We are looking forward to seeing all of you in the upcoming school year! Thank you for partnering with First Baptist Academy in Kingdom Ministry.
