Curriculum and Textbooks

The textbook selection and curriculum building is a prayerful, considerate process. Several publishing
companies, such as Bob Jones University Press, A Beka books, Apologia, and Purposeful Design, are
utilized in order to access resources which best fit our needs. The curriculum is reviewed and updated
on a rotating basis, during which time the current textbook is evaluated to determine if it needs to be
replaced. An informal committee is then formed of a principal/administrator, classroom teachers of the
particular grade/subject, and the Curriculum Coordinator to preview different options and make the
textbook choice.
