Music is an expressive means of praise to our Heavenly Father (Psalm 150). He is the Creator of all (Col. 1:16) and bestows gifts and talents of musicality to infinite degrees in everyone.

The purpose of teaching instrumental music is to develop the gifts and talents already established in the elementary program. Development, integration, and acquisition of spiritual, physical, mental, and social skills are an essential part of the music education process. It is an integration of many subjects in a medium which is to be learned, appreciated, and performed/expressed.

Music theory, appreciation, listening, history, and performance are also parts of the instrumental program.
